Happy International Women's Day

This is one of my favorite days of the year because we get to celebrate the amazing woman in this world! There have been so many women that have been an inspiration in my life and so many others. My mama always told me since I was little, “Girls can do anything!” still to this day I hear her voice and words echoing in my head.
Today I want to thank all the amazing women throughout my life growing up for inspiring me, encouraging me to follow my dreams and to be just “me”!
As many of you know, my first love was soccer (or football in most of the world). It’s become part of my DNA. My every day life is centered around it and today I want to thank some of those women I looked up who made so many differences in the sport I love! They continue to fight for fairness, equality and unity in female sports.
One year ago today, we were celebrating International Women's Day at Anfield. Here's the blog I wrote about out incredibly special day. Women came from all over the world to celebrate. There were well over 100 women representing. Of course, there was a large crowd from Liverpool, but also many who traveled from Norway, Sweden, Northern Ireland, France, Jamaica, Ireland, Canada, and the United States. Due to the Covid -19 pandemic still happening, the annual International #Livergirls even could not take place. I look forward to the next time we can all be together and celebrate.
